PAK LIGHTING has been selected as the architectural lighting specification partner for the PTX3 Acacia New Tower project at Paris La Défense — one of the most significant commercial office renovation projects currently underway in France.
The Acacia tower, located on the esplanade de La Défense in Puteaux, is a 15,650 m² low-carbon office renovation commissioned by Allianz and designed by the acclaimed Architecturestudio. The project is a flagship initiative in Paris La Défense's strategic ambition to become the world's first post-carbon business district by 2030.
PAK LIGHTING's Scope
PAK LIGHTING's scope covers the full architectural lighting specification for all interior zones of the building, delivering complete fixture schedules, photometric studies, and UGR compliance documentation aligned with the project's low-carbon and sustainability objectives.
Ground floor lobby — welcome & reception area
Business center & large-capacity auditorium
Open-plan office floors — full lighting layout
Rooftop terrace — outdoor relaxation & event area
Low-Carbon Lighting Strategy
A key challenge on this project is delivering a high-performance lighting environment that meets the ambitions of a certified low-carbon renovation. PAK LIGHTING's specification strategy prioritises energy-efficient LED systems, optimised lux levels to EN 12464-1, and strict UGR compliance (UGR <19) across all office and collaborative zones.
Value engineering has been applied throughout the specification process to identify performance-equivalent alternatives that reduce embodied carbon and procurement costs without compromising the architectural intent defined by Architecturestudio.
